Pixels

As a child of the 90s who grew up on video games in the 8- to 16-bit eras I have a nostalgic love of pixel-art. In particular, I'm drawn to the restraints in resolution and color and the decisions artists must make about which details to keep, accentuate or remove in order to convey a subject.

These are made without any specific constraints in mind and no theme to their subject matter. Most were made using Jenn Schiffer’s online tool, make 8-bit art, with some touch-ups in Photoshop.
